Today you head to the beautiful hill city of Kandy. On the way, stop at the Dambulla Cave Temple, Sri Lanka’s largest and best-preserved cave temple complex. Walk hand in hand through the ancient caves filled with golden Buddha statues and colorful ceiling frescoes, some over 2,000 years old.
Continue to Matale, where you’ll visit a traditional spice garden to discover the healing and culinary secrets of cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and more. Enjoy a short cooking demo or a complimentary Ayurvedic head massage.
Arrive in Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka, nestled around a picturesque lake. In the evening, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses a relic of the Buddha and is considered one of the most venerated sites in the Buddhist world. Later, enjoy a Kandyan cultural dance performance, a lively showcase of traditional music, costumes, and drumming.

Day 04: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
Leave the hill capital behind as you ascend into the misty mountains of Nuwara Eliya, affectionately called “Little England” for its cool climate, colonial cottages, and rolling tea estates. En route to Nuwara Eliya, near the Ramboda area, stop at the Shri Bhakta Hanuman Hindu Temple for a few minutes. If you're interested in India & Sri Lanka’s shared history and the Rama-Seetha legend, this is a meaningful place to explore. Then visit Ramboda Falls, a breathtaking cascade nestled amidst lush greenery.
Arrive in Nuwara Eliya and check into your hotel, surrounded by rolling hills and tea plantations. Spend the afternoon exploring a tea plantation and factory, where you'll learn about the tea-making process and sample some of the finest Ceylon tea. Take a romantic walk by Gregory Lake, soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings.

On the way, pause together at Ravana Falls, where you can enjoy the refreshing mist and snap a sweet photo with the waterfall as your backdrop.
On arrival, check into your beach resort, where you can unwind and enjoy a picture-perfect sunset over the Indian Ocean. The rest of the day is free to relax by the pool, walk along the beach, or indulge in a couples' massage.

Then, visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, a conservation center where you can learn about endangered sea turtles and, if lucky, participate in releasing baby turtles into the sea. For adventure lovers, optional water sports such as jet skiing, banana boating, or parasailing are available on the Bentota River.
In the evening, enjoy a candlelit seafood dinner by the ocean, under a canopy of stars.
